my transformation
how drawing progress
The techniques I share with you, I learned and used to take my work from self taught and amateur to professional and confident. I teach my students and apprentices the same methods, in a fraction of the time it took me to learn.
my first student, before and after joining my course. 3 months difference

This is my first student, Chris. He was:

- 8 months into tattooing fake skin

- Self teaching and learning slowly

- Unguided with no structure

During my course, he learned:

- how machines, needles and ink works

-  shading methods by drawing

- tattoo techniques by watching then practicing

- feedback from me helps identifying the next step

The before and after are only a few months apart and 1/4 of the way through my course. With his new foundation of skills, new portfolio and consistent work, Chris has earned himself an apprenticeship, crediting my course for helping.

my first student earned a tattoo apprenticeship after building a new portfolio of work just a few months into my course

FAQ's

A no-time-limit learning experience, laid out in order to build process that random tips and tricks don't build. Guidance and feedback from mentor, Che Crook.

This course is for artists at the beginning of their journey, up to self taught artists who are early in their career and lack structure of guidance from experience.

Knowledge and new skills, techniques and methods that helped me go from a self taught beginner to experienced professional producing quality work. The rest is on you to work hard and implement new knowledge in your work process.

Che Crook, multi award winning tattoo artist from Bristol, UK. With 14 years in tattooing, Che's a studio owner with 8 years experience mentoring apprentices and artists who tattoo full time today.

my tattoo design process which i teach in chapter 2 of my course

The Online Tattoo Course gives you structure, fundamentals and feedback that self teaching doesn't give.

Remember, Certificates and qualifications do not currently exist in tattooing. As you'll learn in the course, licensing is done by your local health authority and is your responsibility once you have found a professional studio to work from. Charging clients for tattoos without a license is illegal. A premises or artist won't be licensed unless the established meets all requirements of your local health authorities.

For artists who are already self teaching or if you're like i was, in an apprenticeship but looking for more education. The purpose of the course is to build your skills and portfolio to a standard that a studio accepts you as an apprentice or junior artist depending on your work quality and time spent learning.

che's journey

Check out Che's portfolio and story from the start of his career to now.

my first year tattooing in a studio, i know what its like being self taught

2011

Found an apprenticeship but was left to self teach as my mentor was self taught and had no real experience to share, leaving me confused and frustrated. I wanted to do things the right way.

i won multiple awards when i started using methods and techniques instead of guessing

2014

Within 3 years, I networked, travelled to conventions and was later offered a spot at a world renowned studio. I won multiple awards and learned around the best artists.

tattooing a client in my studio, my dream job and i assume its yours too

2025

After living away and learning for a few years, I came home and opened my own studios, built teams of artists and apprenticed multiple artists into successful careers. Now, I teach beginners and self taught artists online.
